In the dive centre our PADI instructors will help you understand the basic safety guidelines and skills you need to scuba dive, along an explanation and demonstration of how your scuba equipment works. Following this we spend 30-40 mins in the swimming pool, less than 5m from the dive centre doors, where you have a chance to practice and master some of the basic scuba diving skills which will allow you to complete the 2nd dive under the guidance of a dive instructor.

Following this we travel to the harbour (3min drive) and a 5-10 min boat ride to one of several dive sites we use for this introductory scuba experience. You will be under water for around 30-40mins, to a maximum 12m.

You need to allow about 5-6 hours in total from start to finish.

Advanced Open Water and beyond or, a suggestion from the experienced

"If you are a doing continuing education course, Advanced Open Water or beyond why not give yourself a day before you start the course and have a pre-course diving day."

Even experienced divers, who dive regularly, when they change diving environments/locations they know it will take couple of dives to settle down and fully relax. There is a lot going on maybe they are using different equipment than they are used to, the need to get weighting sorted out and all dive centers run slightly differently.

So why not make you life easy and get the most out of your course.
